When it does not

It is not the right first answer for a plumbing leak, a single stable crack that can be injected, or a wall that is structurally failing. Interior drainage manages water, but it does not stabilize movement and it does not repair a broken pipe.

It is also not enough on its own if the discharge plan is weak. A system that collects water but cannot move it away in a reliable way will keep the homeowner dependent on a component that may not be sized or backed up properly. The discharge path is part of the fix.
